The first week of the 2025 college football season produced a number of surprises. Given that it was August and still very summer teams like Alabama (at Miami) North Carolina (at North Carolina) and Texas (at Ohio State) can potentially blame the heat and humidity for surprising and lopsided losses. (OK, not Texas).

It is week 2 of college football for 2025, early September and the temperatures and humidity are more appropriate for baseball season. “But it’s still baseball season,” stated SwampButt Underwear spokesman Nick Heraldson. “That’s a really weak comparison.”

Regardless, these are some of the most uncomfortable locations in the U.S. to watch college football.  We rate these games based on a combination of heat and humidity and combine these into a number between 0 and 10. The higher the number the more uncomfortable the setting. It has little to do with how good or competitive a game might or might not be.
